The Carolina Panthers moved above .500 for the first time this season with a road win in Philadelphia, and the performance left plenty to celebrate along with a few issues Dave Canales must fix.
The Carolina Panthers improved to 3-2 following a road victory against the Philadelphia Eagles, who played without quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley. Panthers quarterback Bryce Young threw for 281 yards and two touchdowns, while running back Chuba Hubbard recorded 120 rushing yards and a touchdown on 28 carries. Wide receiver Jalen Coker added six catches for 97 yards, and tight end Tommy Tremble caught two touchdown passes.
A to Z Sports identified coaching game management and offensive lineman Robert Hunt as Carolina's main losers from the contest. The outlet criticized head coach Dave Canales and offensive coordinator Brad Idzik for late-clock mismanagement before halftime and a delay-of-game penalty on fourth down, while noting Hunt struggled in pass protection and committed two illegal man downfield penalties.
