The Story in 60 Seconds

The Genesis Championship in South Korea serves as the final regular event before the DP World Tour Play-Offs, representing the last opportunity for golfers to secure a top-100 finish in the Race to Dubai. The retention threshold was reduced from 115 players in 2025 to 100 this season, raising the stakes for those seeking full playing privileges for 2027.

Several players on the bubble require strong performances, including Sweden's Sebastian Soderberg in 101st place and American Sean Crocker in 103rd. Meanwhile, Matteo Manassero sits dangerously close to the cut-off at 98th, while 99th-placed Eddie Pepperell faces an anxious wait as he is absent from the tournament field.
