NBA Trade Rumors: Magic Pressure, Warriors’ Jimmy Butler Plans & More

Sean Deveney analyzes early-season NBA trade rumors, reporting that the Golden State Warriors plan to keep Jimmy Butler as he recovers from ACL surgery. The franchise intends to stay competitive until Butler returns for a playoff push, leaving any potential roster sell-off contingent on a disastrous start. Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic face roster pressure, with every player potentially on the block if the team struggles.

Deveney also surveys potential trade candidates across the league ahead of the deadline, highlighting guards, wings, and frontcourt options under financial strain. Key situations to monitor include the Charlotte Hornets' pending contract talks with Brandon Miller, the New York Knicks managing second-apron payroll restrictions, and potential moves involving players like De'Aaron Fox and Karl-Anthony Towns.
