MILWAUKEE – Mark Attanasio remembers getting a good idea of the challenge ahead of him when he was introduced as the Brewers’ new owner on Oct. 4, 2004.

The Milwaukee Brewers have advanced to the World Series for the first time since 1982, fulfilling a 22-year journey under owner Mark Attanasio. Attanasio, who originally agreed to purchase the franchise in 2004, celebrated the National League pennant win over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. The victory marks only the second World Series appearance in franchise history.
Milwaukee reached the Fall Classic following a franchise-record 103-win regular season and playoff series victories over the San Diego Padres and the Dodgers. The milestone caps an era featuring six division titles and eight postseason appearances across the last nine years, while expanding front-office operations from roughly 130 full-time employees in 2005 to more than 400 today.
