One Boston Bruins legend explained why he believes David Pastrnak was the right choice for the team's captaincy this season.

Former Boston Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron endorsed David Pastrnak as the franchise's new captain, calling it a well-deserved honor. Speaking in an interview with Marco D'Amico of RG, Bergeron highlighted Pastrnak's leadership, noting that teammates respect him because he commands attention when speaking and consistently backs it up with his performance on the ice.
Bergeron also praised the team's strong start to the season, citing key roster additions like JJ Peterka and the club's ability to find multiple ways to win, including a recent 4-1 victory over the LA Kings. Pastrnak, drafted by Boston in 2014, has recorded 945 career points in 842 games with the Bruins.
