A wait of over 500 days could finally be over for Maddison 🙏

Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi has revealed that playmaker James Maddison is ready to make his first start in more than 500 days against Coventry. Maddison, who has made five substitute appearances this season after recovering from two ACL tears, last started for Spurs in May 2025. Dejan Kulusevski is also set to return to the matchday squad on the bench following a 526-day absence with a serious knee injury.
De Zerbi also detailed Tottenham's recent warm-weather training camp in Marbella, where he instituted a mobile phone ban during team meals to encourage player bonding. While Savio and Lucas Bergvall are facing short spells out with injuries and Rodrigo Bentancur serves a three-match suspension, De Zerbi emphasized that the trip was focused on taking responsibility and improving team unity.
