Tottenham are among several clubs closely monitoring talented Cruzeiro goalkeeper Otavio ahead of the January transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur are closely monitoring 20-year-old Cruzeiro goalkeeper Otavio as a potential permanent signing, according to a report from Fussball News. Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest are also chasing the Brazilian shot-stopper, having already seen an initial €13 million summer bid rejected by Cruzeiro. Borussia Dortmund, FC Porto, and Napoli are also credited with interest in the player.
Cruzeiro recently signed Otavio to a contract extension through 2031 featuring a €100 million release clause. However, the Brazilian club is reportedly seeking an initial transfer fee between €25 million and €30 million to open negotiations. Rohan Sengupta argues that Otavio's skillset and build-up play would make him an ideal fit to compete with Antonin Kinsky in Roberto De Zerbi's Tottenham squad.
