The Blues have snapped up one of the breakout stars of the 2026 NPC season, signing North Harbour's Rory Taylor to a two-year deal.

The Blues have signed North Harbour winger Rory Taylor to a two-year Super Rugby contract ahead of the 2027 season. The 24-year-old emerged as a breakout star during the 2026 NPC campaign, helping Harbour rebound from a last-place finish in 2025 to fourth place in the round robin.
Taylor scored seven tries across 11 starts, finishing among the competition's leaders in clean breaks, metres gained, and defenders beaten. Blues head coach Jason Holland and GM Rugby Murray Williams praised the Rosmini College product's pace and regional pathway progression.
