The Pittsburgh Steelers lost a rare special teams spark to a familiar flag from Cole Holcomb, and the veteran linebacker’s history on opening kickoffs is starting to carry real consequences for him.
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Cole Holcomb is reportedly one major personal foul away from a potential NFL suspension following another blindside block penalty. The infraction occurred on an opening kickoff, which also nullified a significant return play by Kaden Wetjen.
Holcomb was previously fined over $11,000 for a blindside block against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3. Under NFL rules, committing three major infractions, including blindside blocks or unnecessary roughness fouls, can trigger a league suspension if penalties are upheld.
