Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce suffered a right ankle injury during the team's opening drive against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6. Kelce appeared to roll his ankle after being tackled on a screen pass. He left the field to receive medical attention on the sideline but missed only the final two plays of the initial possession before returning to action.
While on the sideline, Kelce had his ankle taped without entering the medical tent, as Kansas City settled for a 44-yard Harrison Butker field goal. CBS sideline reporter Melanie Collins later reported that Kelce's tape was reinforced, and the tight end continued to play through the contest, re-entering the field for the Chiefs' second offensive drive.
