If you were banking on a 'Tanner McKee Game' to save the Eagles' season, bad news: He's not that guy anymore, and the Birds aren't that team anymore either.
Nick Tricome writes that any remaining hope for the Philadelphia Eagles' season is gone following a 25-14 home defeat to the Carolina Panthers. With starting quarterback Jalen Hurts sidelined indefinitely due to a blood clot, backup Tanner McKee failed to revitalize the offense as Philadelphia dropped to a 2-4 record on the season with its fourth straight loss.
Tricome argues that McKee looked hurried and out of his depth behind a struggling offensive line, completing 26 of 45 passes for 215 yards and one touchdown. The writer contends the team's aimless performance and mounting injuries mirror the franchise's disappointing 2005 campaign.
