Cleveland Browns head coach Todd Monken continues to have Deshaun Watson's back, but it feels like this may be as good as it gets with Watson at quarterback.

Writer Ernesto Cova argues that Cleveland Browns head coach Todd Monken's postgame defense of Deshaun Watson signals resignation regarding the quarterback's limitations. Following Cleveland's 13-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, Monken defended Watson's clutch fourth-quarter performance while acknowledging the need to reduce offensive inconsistency.
Cova states that despite Watson's fourth-quarter plays, his inconsistency and pocket issues hinder the offense and make the 4-2 team's current approach unsustainable long-term. Watson finished the Ravens game with 164 passing yards on 16 of 26 passing with no touchdowns or interceptions.
