We’re one day away from the start of the NBA’s 2026/27 regular season, making Monday the last day of the 2026 offseason. Today serves as the deadline for a number of contract- and roster-related decisions around the league. Here are…

NBA teams face crucial contract and roster cutdown deadlines on Monday ahead of the 2026/27 regular season opener. Fifteen players remain eligible for rookie scale extensions before the 5:00 pm CT cut-off, following recent agreements by players such as Cason Wallace and Victor Wembanyama. Additionally, veteran extension windows will close at 10:59 pm CT for multiyear players including Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball, and Jaylen Brown.
Clubs must also reduce their rosters to the mandatory regular season limit of 15 standard contracts by 4:00 pm CT. Five teams—the Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Memphis Grizzlies—must still execute cuts or trades to reach roster compliance. Monday also marks the final opportunity for clubs to execute sign-and-trade deals and convert Exhibit 10 contracts into two-way agreements.
