The Hanshin Tigers have accepted 27-year-old star Teruaki Sato's request to be posted for MLB teams, according to Gaijin Baseball. A 45-day posting window will allow the Japanese slugger to negotiate a contract, with Hanshin aiming to finalize a move ahead of an impending lockout following the World Series.
Sato posted a .306/.383/.609 slash line with 39 home runs in 143 NPB games in 2026. The New York Mets reportedly scouted the third baseman and outfielder earlier in August and are expected to pursue him.
