The New York Rangers have signed 13-year NHL veteran center Luke Glendening to a professional tryout agreement. The 37-year-old joins the organization to compete for a spot following injuries among the team's forwards, marking his second PTO of the season after a previous stint with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Glendening brings 934 career games of experience, most recently playing for the Philadelphia Flyers. A standard contract would be required for regular-season play, which the Rangers can facilitate given approximately $4.4 million in salary-cap space.
