Nate Bittle hoped the Raptors’ center depth would give him an opportunity, and it has.

The Toronto Raptors converted undrafted rookie Nate Bittle's Exhibit 10 deal into a two-way contract following the preseason. Despite Bittle missing the entire preseason due to a foot injury, the team chose to invest in the seven-foot center after waiving several other players, including Nima Burnett and Jamarion Sharp.
Writer Elaine Blum argues that this move validates Bittle's post-draft decision to target Toronto for an NBA pathway. Blum highlights that Bittle offers perimeter shooting and size behind Jakob Poeltl.
