Washington Wizards guard Trae Young received widespread congratulations after being named the recipient of the NBA Cares Bob Lanier Community Assist Award for the offseason. The honor recognizes Young's charitable efforts focused on expanding educational opportunities, tackling food insecurity, and developing youth sports and community programming in Washington, D.C., and Oklahoma.
