The Carolina Hurricanes placed veteran left winger Taylor Hall on injured reserve on Monday morning. Hall is considered week-to-week after sustaining an upper-body injury during a game against the Washington Capitals. The forward has recorded five points in eight games to start the season.
Hall's injury adds to a growing list of sidelined forwards for Carolina, including Seth Jarvis, Jordan Staal, and Mark Jankowski. Despite these absences across their lines, the Hurricanes hold first place in the Metropolitan Division with a 7-2-1 record.
