Colorado Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar announced that forward Logan O’Connor is expected to make his season debut on Friday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 30-year-old winger will be activated from injured reserve after being sidelined by a lower-body injury suffered late in the preseason and subsequently stepping away from the team following the passing of his father.
O’Connor enters his ninth NHL season with Colorado as he looks to remain healthy following an injury-shortened 2025-26 campaign. The Stanley Cup champion forward is currently in the second year of a six-year contract extension carrying an average annual value of $2.5 million.
