The NFL has suspended Buffalo Bills safety and former Detroit Lions player C.J. Gardner-Johnson for one game after he spat at Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers. The incident led to Gardner-Johnson being ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct during the contest, as initially reported by NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
With Buffalo currently on a bye week, Gardner-Johnson will serve his suspension during the Bills' next matchup on November 1 against the Baltimore Ravens. Following the game, Gardner-Johnson issued an apology on Instagram, admitting his actions were inappropriate, unnecessary, and crossed the line.
