Former Manchester United, Tottenham, and Crystal Palace striker Fraizer Campbell has spoken out about his addiction to snus, a nicotine-based product widely used in professional football. Campbell revealed he was first introduced to the substance during his time at Crystal Palace between 2014 and 2017 to help him relax after matches.
Campbell explained that his usage eventually escalated into a daily addiction that caused persistent afternoon fatigue and exhaustion. While he avoided using snus on match days due to its overly relaxing effects, his consumption worsened significantly following his retirement from professional football.
