UFC welterweight star Mike Malott holds Joaquin Buckley in high regard following his reaction to Malott’s brutal KO win at UFC Edmonton.

UFC welterweight Mike Malott praised opponent Joaquin Buckley for his genuine reaction following Malott's knockout victory in the UFC Edmonton main event. After the bout, Buckley live-streamed on KICK to rewatch the knockout because he could not remember the finish. Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Malott commended Buckley for his vulnerability and refusal to make excuses.
Malott highlighted that Buckley took full ownership of the defeat rather than blaming outside factors like illness or training camp issues. The victory marked the biggest win of Malott's career, while Buckley suffered his third consecutive loss after having previously assembled a six-fight winning streak.
