McGlynn reveals why he refused to take Falkirk hero off
Falkirk manager John McGlynn revealed he kept two-goal striker Jacob Murrell on the pitch because of his vital defensive work rate in a 2-1 victory over Hibernian at Easter Road. Murrell scored twice in the opening 37 minutes before Owen Elding pulled a goal back for the hosts, securing the Bairns their second William Hill Premiership win of the season.
McGlynn explained that while he would normally substitute his striker due to fatigue from pressing, Murrell had to finish the match to help defend Falkirk's lead under heavy pressure. The result leaves Hibernian at the bottom of the table, while Falkirk turn their attention to hosting Kilmarnock next weekend.
