Mackenzie Blackwood kept the Avalanche within striking distance with several key saves, but Colorado struggled defensively and trailed the Philadelphia Flyers 1-0 after the first period at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

The Colorado Avalanche were defeated 3-2 by the Philadelphia Flyers at Xfinity Mobile Arena, undone by 16 turnovers and persistent defensive breakdowns. Matvei Michkov scored twice for the Flyers, and Noel Acciari added the game-winner, while Martin Necas and rookie T.J. Hughes scored for Colorado.
Despite goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood making critical saves, Colorado repeatedly surrendered possession and fell behind 2-0. After Necas and Hughes cut the deficit, Philadelphia goaltender Joseph Woll stopped 24 shots to secure the victory, dropping the Avalanche to a 5-3-1 record on the season.
