According to Marc Stein, the New York Knicks did not shop reserve guard Tyler Kolek to clear a roster spot for Bruce Brown. Stein reported that only a trade acquisition for a center would have led the Knicks to consider moving the third-year guard, refuting previous reports suggesting Kolek was being actively shopped before Brown's release.
The Knicks recently released Brown on October 17 and awarded their 14th and final roster spot to center James Wiseman to remain below the second apron. Both Kolek and Pacome Dadiet are now set to be on the roster for opening night alongside Wiseman.
