The Senators are being viewed as a potential landing spot for a notable trade candidate on the Canucks.

The Ottawa Senators have been linked to Vancouver Canucks winger Jake DeBrusk as a potential trade target following a significant injury to William Eklund. Bleacher Report's Adam Gretz named Ottawa as a top destination for DeBrusk after Eklund was ruled out for 10 to 12 weeks following surgery on a torn ankle tendon.
DeBrusk carries a $5.5 million annual cap hit under a contract running through the 2030-31 season. SenShot notes that acquiring the forward would provide long-term scoring depth, though any permanent trade requires DeBrusk to waive his full no-movement clause.
