The 49ers blow a 20-point lead but hold off the Commanders 23-17 to stay unbeaten at 6-0, thanks to clutch defensive plays in the final minutes.

The San Francisco 49ers held off a late comeback by the Washington Commanders to secure a 23-17 victory at Levi's Stadium. San Francisco established a commanding 23-3 lead in the third quarter behind touchdown contributions from tight end George Kittle and running back Christian McCaffrey. The win preserves San Francisco's undefeated season as they improve to 6-0, while Washington drops to 1-4-1.
Washington rallied behind quarterback Jayden Daniels, who threw fourth-quarter touchdown passes to Stefon Diggs and Rachaad White to narrow the deficit. However, the 49ers defense preserved the win in the final minutes with key stops by safety Malik Mustapha and a game-ending sack from rookie Romello Height and Keion White.
