The Minnesota Vikings’ 5-0 start has featured unexpected boosts from Dallas Turner, Carson Wentz and Myles Price in three very different roles.
The Viking Age highlights Dallas Turner, Carson Wentz, and Myles Price as unexpected key contributors to Minnesota's 5-0 start. Writer Allison Koehler argues these three players exceeded reasonable expectations to help the Vikings reach their Week 6 bye undefeated while the defense allowed a league-best 12.8 points per game.
Turner recorded 5.5 sacks after taking over for Jonathan Greenard, while backup quarterback Wentz secured two early division wins following Kyler Murray's injury. Additionally, return specialist Price earned September NFC Special Teams Player of the Month honors, providing critical field position and an 86-yard punt-return touchdown.
