The Atlanta Falcons' new front office model with Matt Ryan might get copied by another NFL team.

The Indianapolis Colts may emulate the Atlanta Falcons' front-office model by pursuing Peyton Manning following the firing of general manager Chris Ballard. According to Dan Patrick, the Colts' first call regarding their vacant position was to Manning to explore his interest in serving as general manager or potentially acquiring an ownership stake in the franchise.
Blogging Dirty writer Jason Kandel argues that hiring Manning directly as general manager without executive experience would be a mistake. Instead, Kandel suggests Indianapolis should mirror Atlanta's handling of Matt Ryan by placing Manning or former quarterback Andrew Luck in an advisory or supervisory capacity rather than making them the primary football decision-maker.
