Colston Loveland delivered his best game of the season, but a revealing explanation from Bears coordinator Press Taylor suggests there was more available.

Chicago Bears tight end Colston Loveland delivered a breakout performance in Sunday's 31-23 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, recording six catches for 65 yards and a touchdown. The game marked the return of starting quarterback Caleb Williams, who completed 30 of 36 passes for 305 yards and spread the ball among eight receivers, helping Loveland add nearly 60 percent of his previous season receiving yardage in a single afternoon.
Despite the strong outing, offensive coordinator Press Taylor noted that a missed timing connection near the goal line cost Loveland an even bigger game and a second potential score. Taylor explained that Chicago did not overhaul its game plan to manufacture targets, but rather benefited from Williams and Loveland finding an efficient rhythm that the team hopes to replicate in their upcoming matchup against New England.
