Jason Whitlock has opined that the firing of the Indianapolis Colts General Manager Chris Ballard should lead to the departure of Carlie Irsay-Gordon from the sidelines.
Commentator Jason Whitlock argued that following the dismissal of General Manager Chris Ballard, the Indianapolis Colts should move CEO Carlie Irsay-Gordon away from the sidelines. Whitlock proposed hiring former Colts head coach Tony Dungy as team president, suggesting Dungy could advise Irsay-Gordon from the press box.
The Colts fired Ballard after a 2-4 start to the season, having failed to reach the playoffs since 2021. Irsay-Gordon's active sideline presence and interactions with coaching staff have drawn scrutiny, though it remains uncertain whether the 71-year-old Dungy would consider taking on an NFL front-office role.
