Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has labeled Chelsea as "bigger and worse offenders" than Manchester City regarding financial rules. Speaking on Piers Morgan's Sports Uncensored, Jordan argued that Chelsea broke regulations despite having already established an advantage via Roman Abramovich's early spending. His comments followed Manchester City being found guilty of 114 Premier League charges, a verdict City denies and is actively appealing.
Chelsea previously admitted to breaches concerning £47.5m in undisclosed payments made between 2011 and 2018 during Abramovich's tenure. Earlier in the year, the club received a £10.75m fine and a suspended one-year first-team transfer ban, alongside academy sanctions. Jordan questioned why Manchester City has faced significantly more public outrage than Chelsea.
