Rookie Edge Continues to Stuff Stat Sheet; Minkah Fitzpatrick Back to his Ball-Hawking Ways…

New York Jets rookie edge rusher David Bailey forced two fumbles during a 26-19 loss to the New England Patriots. Bailey became the only NFL rookie since 1994 to record at least 30 tackles, five sacks, and one forced fumble across his first six games, joining Chandler Jones as one of just two rookies since 2000 with three-plus sacks, three-plus forced fumbles, and six-plus quarterback hits in that initial span.
Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick also secured a fumble recovery, bringing his career takeaway total to 30 since entering the league in 2018. Despite the road defeat, the Jets finished plus-1 in turnover margin against New England, raising their season turnover differential to plus-4 through six games.
