The Indianapolis Colts have fired general manager Chris Ballard…

Indianapolis Colts co-owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon has fired general manager Chris Ballard following the team's 26-20 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Ballard, who had led the front office since 2017, was dismissed after home fans chanted for his firing following a blown 13-0 halftime lead. Irsay-Gordon announced an immediate search for his successor, stating that a leadership change was necessary to compete for championships.
Ballard's tenure featured just one playoff victory and an ongoing AFC South title drought dating back to 2014. Despite bringing in head coach Shane Steichen and signing quarterback Daniel Jones, the team struggled with defensive lapses and missed the playoffs for five consecutive seasons.
