Turki Alalshikh States He Owns 60% of Zuffa Boxing

Turki Alalshikh has responded to questions regarding a high-profile boxing meeting by stating he owns a 60% majority stake in Zuffa Boxing and serves as its chairman.

Turki Alalshikh has publicly claimed a 60% ownership stake in the new Zuffa Boxing promotion, also stating he is the chairman of the board. The declaration was made on social media to counter speculation about Zuffa’s absence from a recent meeting photo.

The claim provides the first significant detail on the corporate structure of Zuffa Boxing, the venture launched with TKO Group Holdings and UFC president Dana White. Speculation began after Alalshikh posted a photograph from a meeting with executives from DAZN, Queensberry, Matchroom and Gold Star, which did not feature Zuffa representatives Dana White or Nick Khan. Alalshikh’s response positions him as the controlling partner, suggesting his personal presence supersedes the need for other Zuffa executives to be pictured. By directly addressing a critic on social media, he bypassed formal corporate communication channels to assert his authority over the promotion, which is expected to begin staging events in 2027.

In his initial response to the criticism, Alalshikh stated: “What’s your IQ level …we owned 60% of Zuffa, and I am the chairman of the board 👍🏻🤷🏻‍♂️…. no one can force me to delete something, I changed it because Nick wasn’t in the picture.. tell this to whom told u to write this 👍🏻” This post serves a dual purpose: it publicly declares his majority ownership and board leadership while also providing a logistical explanation for an edit to his original social media post, dismissing any notion of external pressure.

He followed up with a more targeted message directed at the same criticism, writing: “This is why I asked about your IQ and give back the phone to Helwani 👍🏻” This comment directly implicates a specific media personality in the criticism, framing the questions not as general fan concern but as a targeted narrative from a known journalist.

If accurate, this ownership structure establishes Alalshikh as the primary decision-maker for Zuffa Boxing, placing his influence at the centre of the new organisation. The clarification sets the tone for the promotion’s operational hierarchy and strategic direction, defining the roles of partners TKO Group Holdings and Dana White as minority stakeholders under his chairmanship.
