Is it crazy to say that Jalen Hurts could have possibly played his last game…

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is likely sidelined for the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli. Writer Matt Brown criticizes the Eagles' medical staff for alleged mismanagement, reporting that Hurts was cleared to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London despite a known blood clot in his calf. Head coach Nick Sirianni defended trusting the team's medical personnel for the decision.
According to Hurts' agent Nicole Lynn and the team, his long-term prognosis remains very good. Backup quarterback Tanner McKee will take over as the starter for the rest of 2026. Brown argues that the situation casts doubt on the franchise's quarterback future, suggesting Philadelphia could explore drafting a successor given Hurts' contract status and financial considerations.
