The Philadelphia Eagles will likely have plenty of questions to answer following the latest update on Jalen Hurts. The quarterback has become the center…
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to a serious medical condition. After an initial diagnosis of superficial vein thrombosis in his left calf, further testing revealed deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli, indicating blood clots in both lungs. Hurts is currently clinically stable and undergoing blood thinner treatment, which prevents him from taking part in contact sports.
Representatives for Hurts stated that his prognosis remains very good, with a full recovery expected and no anticipated long-term effects. Backup quarterback Tanner McKee started in Hurts' place during Philadelphia's 25-14 loss to the Carolina Panthers, dropping the Eagles to a 2-4 record.
