Andy Dalton didn’t stay unemployed for long. After getting released by the Philadelphia Eagles, the veteran quarterback has found his way to another NFC team, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Veteran free-agent quarterback Andy Dalton is signing with the Atlanta Falcons following his release from the Philadelphia Eagles, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Dalton was let go by Philadelphia four weeks into the season after throwing an interception against the Chicago Bears during a Week 3 concussion check on Jalen Hurts.
In Atlanta, Dalton joins a quarterback room led by starter Michael Penix Jr. alongside backup Tua Tagovailoa. To make room for Dalton, the 2-4 Falcons released quarterback Cooper Rush ahead of their upcoming Week 7 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
