West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo could be left with egg on his face over his decision to offload Niclas Fullkrug after German football legend…

Lothar Matthaus stated that on-loan West Ham striker Niclas Fullkrug is the ideal forward to lead Jurgen Klopp's Germany national team. Matthaus claimed the 33-year-old struggled in east London and during a spell at AC Milan because he lacked warmth, affection, and trust, which he has now rediscovered after returning to Werder Bremen on loan.
Fullkrug has scored seven goals in his first seven Bundesliga appearances this season. Hammers News reports that the decision to sanction Fullkrug's loan was made directly by West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo, rather than the club hierarchy.
