The Bears look to be on the verge of being viewed as true contenders. That has made them a popular destination as the trade deadline approaches on November 10th. Sports Illustrated’s Matt Verderame believes Chicago is a top trade fit…

Sports Illustrated's Matt Verderame named the Chicago Bears as a top trade landing spot for Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker and pass rusher Josh Sweat ahead of the November 10 trade deadline. The proposed moves come as Chicago seeks defensive reinforcements following an injury to safety Coby Bryant, a PED suspension for Montez Sweat, and Dayo Odeyingbo being placed on injured reserve.
Baker is signed through 2027 with a $16 million base salary next season, and writer Mike Moraitis suggested a fourth-round pick could secure a permanent trade. Moraitis also noted that Josh Sweat, who is playing on a four-year contract, represents another logical target for Bears general manager Ryan Poles to bolster the pass rush.
