Don Hutchison was a Scotland goal-getter in his day and has seen enough from Bowie to back him as Scotland's main man up front…
Former Scotland international and Serie A co-commentator Don Hutchison has backed Sassuolo striker Kieron Bowie to become Scotland's starting number nine. Hutchison stated that Bowie's profile makes him a superior option compared to other contenders such as Che Adams, Oli McBurnie, and Robbie Ure, urging the national team manager to give the forward a sustained run of games.
The 24-year-old Bowie scored on his first Scotland start during a 2-0 victory over North Macedonia earlier in the month before being dropped for the defeat against Slovenia. Hutchison also compared Bowie's physical and running attributes to Nottingham Forest forward Liam Delap.
