Goaltender Joseph Woll has performed strongly individually for the Philadelphia Flyers early in the 2026-27 season despite the team's slow start, according to writer Jamey Baskow. Through his first six starts with the Flyers, Woll posted a 1-3-2 record with a 2.64 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage, earning his first win for Philadelphia in a 3-2 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on October 19.
Woll was acquired from the Toronto Maple Leafs on June 16, 2026, alongside Simon Benoit in exchange for Samuel Ersson, Emil Andrae, and a 2026 third-round pick. Under contract through the 2027-28 season, Woll is expected to form a goaltending tandem with Dan Vladar.
