The NFL has decided against flexing the Week 8 matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns to prime time. The game will remain in its original 1:00 p.m. slot on Sunday, November 1 at Acrisure Stadium and will be broadcast on CBS. The league had strongly considered shifting the contest to replace the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders on Sunday Night Football.
CBS was able to protect the broadcast because the rivals' previous Week 4 encounter aired exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. The decision leaves the Acrisure Stadium operations crew with a tight turnaround, following a Pitt Panthers college football game scheduled for the preceding Saturday night.
