Here's a trade pitch that would see the Detroit Lions pick up some much-needed help for their secondary from the Los Angeles Chargers.

Writer Owen Crisafulli proposes a trade pitch that would see the Detroit Lions acquire veteran cornerback Donte Jackson from the Los Angeles Chargers. In exchange, the Lions would send a 2027 fifth-round draft pick to Los Angeles to bolster a struggling Detroit secondary that currently relies on D.J. Reed, Ennis Rakestraw Jr., and Roger McCreary.
Crisafulli argues that the winless Chargers are likely sellers ahead of the trade deadline and have incentive to move Jackson before his contract expires. The proposal suggests the deal would provide Detroit with immediate starting help at cornerback while ensuring Los Angeles receives draft compensation rather than losing Jackson to free agency for nothing.
