Deni Avdija is listed as questionable against the Suns, which could force the Trail Blazers to use Jrue Holiday at forward.

Portland Trail Blazers forward Deni Avdija is listed as questionable due to right ankle soreness ahead of Wednesday's season opener against the Phoenix Suns. If Avdija is ruled out, Jrue Holiday could step into the starting lineup at forward, creating an undersized three-guard formation alongside Ja Morant and Damian Lillard.
Trail Blazers general manager Joe Cronin previously noted that the team intended to use Holiday more at forward this season. Portland enters the opener already missing Shaedon Sharpe, who is expected to miss six months following surgery on a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee.
