The Seattle Kraken secured a 4-3 shootout victory over the Detroit Red Wings after returning home from a five-game road trip. Seattle established a commanding lead through early goals from Mackie Samoskevich, Ryker Evans, and the returning Brandon Montour, controlling the pace across the opening two periods.
Detroit launched a third-period comeback that began with a transition goal from Viktor Arvidsson against Seattle goaltender Philipp Grubauer. Despite the Red Wings pushing the game beyond regulation, the Kraken ultimately survived the rally to close out the shootout win.
