Maddison marked his first start in 526 days after back-to-back knee injuries with a special strike against the Sky Blues…

James Maddison reflected on his recovery from knee injuries after scoring in his first start in 526 days during Tottenham Hotspur's 3-1 win over Coventry City. Maddison opened the scoring in the 14th minute before Jack Rudoni equalized early in the second half for Coventry. Omar Marmoush and Ben Davies added goals to secure Tottenham's first league victory of the campaign under manager Roberto De Zerbi.
The match also featured the return of Dejan Kulusevski, who made his comeback as a substitute following a 17-month injury absence. Maddison described his goal as the light at the end of the tunnel following dark days recovering from anterior cruciate ligament damage, while also praising Kulusevski for completing his own recovery.
