India fast bowler Mohammed Shami revealed he has no immediate plans to retire, explaining he will only quit cricket when he loses the motivation to wake up early and train. Speaking on a SportsTak video, the 36-year-old pacer dismissed speculation about hanging up his boots despite remaining excluded from India's national squad for the upcoming New Zealand series.
Shami continues to demonstrate strong form in domestic cricket, recently taking five wickets for Bengal in their Ranji Trophy victory against Delhi. He previously secured regular wickets for East Zone in the Duleep Trophy, maintaining hopes of challenging future selection decisions following the departure of chief selector Ajit Agarkar.
