The Premier League meeting between Everton and Chelsea was interrupted for a long time after a clash between Emiliano Martinez…

Goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez was carried off on a stretcher wearing a neck brace following a heavy collision during Chelsea's Premier League match against Everton. The incident occurred after a free kick when Martinez collided with Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite, causing play to be suspended for around ten minutes.
While Branthwaite was able to continue after receiving treatment, Martinez was substituted for former Strasbourg goalkeeper Mike Penders. Martinez remained conscious as he departed the pitch and shook hands with teammate Joao Pedro, while Chelsea held a 1-0 lead with fifteen minutes left to play.
