An exciting wonderkid is now free to join Liverpool.
Austrian youngster Ifeanyi Ndukwe has officially qualified for a UK work permit, allowing him to officially join Liverpool according to the Liverpool ECHO. The 6-foot-7 player previously could not stay at Anfield because he lacked a permit and the club's sole ESC exemption spot went to Mor Talla Ndiaye, prompting a loan move to Spanish club Levante.
Despite obtaining the necessary work permit, the current plan is reportedly for Ndukwe to remain on loan at Levante, where he recently scored a last-minute winner in La Liga. Bence Bocsak notes that Liverpool's rebuild under Julian Ward and Andoni Iraola will take time as they continue to integrate and develop young talent.
